After months of deliberating, I have finally decided to enrol on a personal training course so that I create content that shows you exercise in the most innovative way. As a fitness blogger and influencer, it is my responsibility to give you sound advice and the best way for me to do that is through further studying.
Your dentist can tell a lot about your lifestyle by the way that you smile. They can tell if you floss regularly, if you’re a diet coke addict or if you have a sweet tooth. As a child I used to go to the dentist religiously but in my adult years the visits are a lot less frequent. It’s a mixture of not being able to find the time and not suffering from any real dental issues, but that doesn’t mean that my dental health isn’t a priority.
I’m still struggling to come to terms with the fact that we are in the penultimate month of 2016. What was once the ‘new year’ has almost become ‘last year’ and in 3 months time I will be getting married to my best friend! Two years have passed since the birth of Tashi Skervin.com. What was once a small corner on the internet to recall all my ramblings and musings has become a brand and a project that I am proud of, and I feel so humbled to have you reading my blog today.
Even though my blog is still growing, I kind of feel like it’s a part of my identity. It’s the first thing I talk about when I meet someone new. It’s one of my proudest achievements and it has given me so many opportunities. I have crossed paths with some of the most beautiful personalities and my blog has also help me to carve out a career.
When I first started writing and creating content for my blog, I didn’t think that two years later I’d still be very much in love with blogging and the digital world. Actually, I probably love it more so now than I have ever done before. I still feel excited when a brand tells me that they would like to work with me. I feel excited every time I publish a new post
What excites me the most is when you tell me that my words made you laugh, smile or learn something new.

The autumn and winter seasons are without a doubt my favourite time of year. It’s everything from the burnt orange leaves that litter the floor to the crisp blue skies that can be seen shortly after dawn. These seasons are filled with so many magical moments but they can sometimes be detrimental to my health and fitness routine. It’s hard to wake up and workout when the sky is still black. And sometimes it’s hard to eat healthy when all I want to do is eat bread, a loaf of bread… just give me all the bread! My wedding falls just after the New Year so this year I’m focusing on keeping my skin and body in optimum condition. Here a few fitness and health tips to help keep you on track during the winter season. It’s much easier than you think.
As I write this blog post I can’t help but smile. The Amsterdam half marathon has left a handprint on my heart. I’d completed my first half exactly 7 days before I took to Amsterdam but this race was different. On the outside looking in, not much had changed. My pace was identical to the previous race but I felt different when I crossed the finish line. Last week I was in pain, this time I felt overwhelmed with a huge sense of relief.
Running a half marathon is probably one if the biggest mental and physical challenges that I have had to face thus far. It required commitment and relentless dedication, especially when an old injury began to resurface on race day. I wanted to quit but I was 3 miles from home and nothing was going to stop me crossing the finishing line. The fighting spirit that I saw on race day has taught me a lot about myself and what I’ve learned about life on my journey to running my first half.
