Today is my 25th Birthday and to celebrate reaching a quarter of a century, I have decided that this year I am going to be bold and brave in everything I do. I know I have only just turned 25 but the years seem to be flying by and I don’t want to look back on life when I’m 60, or 70… or even 30, and think “I wish I was bolder with my actions and braver with my choices”. So to celebrate the year of 25 I’m going to be bolder, braver and squeeze every ounce of happiness out of life.
So many people are against the phrase “New Year new me”, but I am all for it. I fully support anyone who is trying to better themselves. The New Year is a great pendulum to swing on in order to kick start whatever it is you’re trying to change or achieve and this year I am riding the New Year wave to make sure that it’s my best year yet. 2016 taught me a lot about myself and other people and I have listed 7 things that I have learned to help me to have a healthy, happy and successful 2017.
And just like that, the penultimate month of 2017 has arrived which means the countdown to Christmas is on. Only 24 days separate us from our Christmas dinners so before the shops become unbearable and look like a storm has ripped through them, I’ve put together a Christmas gift guide for the active type to give you a bit of a head start. Although I’m sure a lot of you have already started shopping!
After months of deliberating, I have finally decided to enrol on a personal training course so that I create content that shows you exercise in the most innovative way. As a fitness blogger and influencer, it is my responsibility to give you sound advice and the best way for me to do that is through further studying.
Your dentist can tell a lot about your lifestyle by the way that you smile. They can tell if you floss regularly, if you’re a diet coke addict or if you have a sweet tooth. As a child I used to go to the dentist religiously but in my adult years the visits are a lot less frequent. It’s a mixture of not being able to find the time and not suffering from any real dental issues, but that doesn’t mean that my dental health isn’t a priority.
I’m still struggling to come to terms with the fact that we are in the penultimate month of 2016. What was once the ‘new year’ has almost become ‘last year’ and in 3 months time I will be getting married to my best friend! They say that planning a wedding is one of the biggest stresses in life so in the run up to my big day, I will be sharing a lot more wedding related content to help you plan your special day when the time comes. Here are my top wedding planning tips:
Two years have passed since the birth of Tashi Skervin.com. What was once a small corner on the internet to recall all my ramblings and musings has become a brand and a project that I am proud of, and I feel so humbled to have you reading my blog today.
Even though my blog is still growing, I kind of feel like it’s a part of my identity. It’s the first thing I talk about when I meet someone new. It’s one of my proudest achievements and it has given me so many opportunities. I have crossed paths with some of the most beautiful personalities and my blog has also help me to carve out a career.
When I first started writing and creating content for my blog, I didn’t think that two years later I’d still be very much in love with blogging and the digital world. Actually, I probably love it more so now than I have ever done before. I still feel excited when a brand tells me that they would like to work with me. I feel excited every time I publish a new post
What excites me the most is when you tell me that my words made you laugh, smile or learn something new.
I couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you for taking time out of your world to step into mine. Thank you for all of the times you’ve read, liked, commented or shared a piece of content that I have created. Thank you for inspiring me every single day and for your continual support.
I am excited to see what happens next with my blog, especially since I’m now evolving my blog to bring more frequent and creative content. I want to do more with YouTube. I want to share more of my running with you and I want to take you on a journey with me as I explore and discover the world, one trip at a time.
Thank you for sticking with me.
Here’s to two more, followed by another two years and then some.
Love always, T x
