I cannot believe that in just 5 DAYS time, I will be getting married! The time between now and October 2015 seems to have flown by and I am trying to cling onto every moment because it’ll all be over soon. Too soon. Alongside filming a vlog to document the final few weeks of wedding prep, I thought I’d do a post to give you a little insight in the life of a bride be. I haven’t done any silly crash diets and I haven’t spent lots of money on facials or beauty treatments either. I’ve just done what I always do…just better. Much better!

Skin Care

If you’ve read my blog previously you’ll know that I suffer with eczema, which always seems to flare up during the winter, which is a little bit unfortunate for me as my wedding is in the winter. When it comes to wedding prep, maintaining healthy clear skin is key. Bobbi Brown has been my skincare savior throughout my adult years because it knows how to hydrate and revive tried and dry eyes. I’ve been using their extra eye repair cream for the past few months and it’s the first time that I’ve used an eye cream that has actually helped to reduce lines and improve the appearance of my skin.

Exercise

It wouldn’t be wedding prep without exercise! I’ve spent most of my training sessions at Barry’s Bootcamp in London. I go to Barry’s regularly but I started to achieve better results when I started adding legs and glutes, and abs and core in the mix. I don’t have a particularly strong core so it’s the day I used to dread the most but after a few months of training core once a week, it’s stronger and looks more defined too. Win, win!

Alcohol

Since the festive season has ended, I have reduced my alcohol intake and I feel so much better for it. It means I’ve cut calories, sugar and my skin feels a lot firmer and hydrated too. I know some brides go completely t-total before their wedding day, but I didn’t think it was necessary. My Birthday is in January too. Now I only drink a few times a month and my skin looks and feels healthier.

 Nutrition

Making the smallest changes to your diet can have a huge impact on your health. I have biggest sweet tooth but over the past few months I’ve really tightened up my diet. I find myself no longer craving bad food but I don’t restrict myself and I am not cutting calories either. I’m probably eating more than ever before! Eat smart, not less is the motto that I like to live by.

Let me know if you have any tips on how you prep for a wedding, holiday or big event!
