I think Monday is collectively the most hated day of the week because of what it stands for, the end of the weekend and the start of the working week. I’ve just returned from Kos and as I start my morning commute to work, the only thing that will remain of my holiday is my tanned skin. The beach, relaxed mentality and lazy days are all a distant memory. But that doesn’t mean that my Monday has to be a complete disaster.

Monday does mark the end of what is a usually fun weekend, but with it comes a new week filled with opportunities. If you dread waking up on Monday morning before the sun has even set on Friday evening, you are not alone but making a few changes to your attitude and routine could help you to start the week on a more positive note and here’s how.

DSC_0580I have been in Kos since Saturday and I have worked out every day but I have indulged every day too. I have unashamedly eaten bread; pancakes covered in Nutella and chocolate cake in one sitting (breakfast, interestingly enough) and still rocked a bikini afterwards!

Yesterday’s track session with Nike Run Club saw us complete 24 x 200m fast runs. As I stepped onto the track I was dreading every minute of it as I inched towards the track. 24 X 200m meters sounded like a mountain that I couldn’t climb and didn’t want to climb. But as our legs started to tick over it became a easier because my attitude towards the run had changed. When I usually step on the track I feel alive, like an athlete walking towards glory. But last night was different, I had a long day at work and I had to make the conscious effort to regain my positive running attitude in order to absolutely annihilate every meter.

It’s been a while since I visited a new boutique fitness studio in London. I am a creature of habit, and it takes a special kind of workout to peel me away from my workout routine. But I must admit, in the more recent months my workouts have lacked variety and we all know that variety is the spice of life, so I am back to exploring London’s fitness scene and I have found a whole lot of fitness inspiration at Another_Space.

Summer has arrived and I think it’s fair to say that we all want to feel confident in our summer clothes. Confidence is sexy and there is nothing more beautiful than a person who is happy with the skin that they’re in. But, I often feel that as summer approaches, we put ourselves under immense pressure to get “bikini ready”. When in fact, you already look fine. I look fine, we all look fine! But if you are hesitating to wear a pair of shorts or stepping out onto the shore in a two piece, here are a few tips to ensure that you spend the warm summer days feeling comfortable in the skin that you are in.

It has been a while since I packed a suitcase and headed off to Paris. The last time I visited I think I was in the final years of secondary school and the nightly twinkle of the Eiffel Tower had become a very distant memory.

But last weekend I got to experience the Parisian beauty that I used to love and enjoy, as a child. Natalie Glaze and I headed to the city of love with Home Away to do yoga in the Eiffel Tower. I know, the words ‘Tashi and Yoga’ still don’t sound right, even though I practice 2-3 times a week. But I have started to enjoy practising yoga, and my body is beginning to thank me. My hamstrings are not as tight as they used to be which allows me to accelerate faster from the word ‘go’.

IMG_0058It’s been a while since I have found enough time in the day to sit down and write a blog post. The past three months have been the busiest of my life thus far, and blogging had to take a bit of a back seat. At first, I felt guilty… like I was letting myself down, and that my blog would get left behind. But the blog is still here; you’re still here, and so the journey continues!
