Nashville has never been on my ‘to visit’ list, but a recent trip to Tennessee with Reebok gave me the opportunity to explore what they call “the home of music”. My time flew by, I only spent 24 hours in Nashville, but jet lagged meant that I woke before the sun rose and was able to see sample enough of the city to get a taste of it’s flavour. How did it taste? Full of life and character…Nashville was everything that I thought it wouldn’t be.

For someone who is an avid runner, it often surprises people to find out that I’m into weightlifting and resistance training too. For me, the two go hand in hand and I still don’t know why lots of runners shy away from heavy weight training. The benefits are endless, it’ll make you a more efficient runner and it can actually help prevent running injuries too.

I’ve recently discovered CrossFit and I’ve started to add WODs (workout of the day) to my weekly training routine. Weight training and CrossFit conditions your body to generate power and if you’re chasing down PB’s, having a body that generates power is half the battle won. Call it CrossFit for runners. Here is how training helps me to become a better runner and how you can become better at running too.

Blogging has opened up so many doors but I never thought that one of them would lead me to a 200 mile relay in America, with Reebok. I’ve always dreamed of being an athlete and although I haven’t made it to the Olympics (yet), joining team Europe to compete in the Ragnar Relay is a gold medal i’ll gladly take.

White sandy beaches and marine life that can be explored from your doorstep. On paper, it’s the most idyllic honeymoon destination, but is the Maldives really worth the money? We spent 10 days in paradise and I think I spent 70% of the time thinking about making a permanent move because it was everything I hoped it would be. When then sunrises you can sea dolphins playing in the distance and come sunset the sound of the ocean is your lullaby. If you’re planning a honeymoon, a lavish birthday or just want a romantic getaway, the Maldives should be at the top of your list and here’s why.

If I could build a time machine so that i could turn back time,  I would relive the past 3 weeks over and over again. It’s not fair, why can’t I build a time machine and turn back time? They say that your wedding day is one of the happiest days of your life and on that day I discovered a happiness that I didn’t know could be found. We said “I do” surrounded by our teary eyed families and friends and our hearts were so filled with love. My heart is still full and I hope this feeling lasts until the sun sets for me. View Post
