IMG_0058It’s been a while since I have found enough time in the day to sit down and write a blog post. The past three months have been the busiest of my life thus far, and blogging had to take a bit of a back seat. At first, I felt guilty… like I was letting myself down, and that my blog would get left behind. But the blog is still here; you’re still here, and so the journey continues!

You’re probably wondering the reason behind my lack of blogging. Well, that would be because I have been channelling all of my energy into my new job! I am the marketing manager of a boutique fitness studio in London called Another_Space. We offer Cycle, HIIT and Yoga classes and as for the space? It’s beautiful. I am so proud to be a part of the team and now that my feet are firmly on the ground I am heading back to blogging, planning my wedding and doing everything else that I have swept under the carpet.

I have kept up my usual fitness routine, you know how much I love running, but since Another_Space has opened, I’ve discovered a love for hot yoga. It allows me to switch off (for about 3 seconds, but that’s better than nothing) and regain focus. I’m still really bad at yoga, it will take more than a few sun salutations to undo my tight hamstrings. But yoga is food for the soul and it helps me to maintain a positive mental attitude.

I will be completely honest with you; life is great. I  may be working more than ever, but I feel like this is where I am meant to be. I am loving, laughing and enjoying this beautiful journey that we call life .

Of course, not every day is a good day. Sometimes the rain falls heavily and I struggle to find the strength to turn the grey clouds to into clear blue skies, but that’s life. We won’t always be happy, but that means that we always be sad either. Remember, happiness is just a thought away and right now I feel content.

Now that I have a firm grip on life, it’s time to breathe. I want to sit on a beach, plug my headphones in, close my eyes and do nothing but order a Cosmopolitan on the hour, every hour. It’s so easy to get caught up in the rat race, so we must travel to remind ourselves that there we were not put on this earth to just work, eat, sleep and repeat. I don’t actually know which countries we will be exploring this year. The bright white buildings and beautiful views of Santorini are calling my name, but a swim in the warm Caribbean Sea is just as tempting.

So I guess this is me and where I am at today. Thank you for sticking with me throughout my infrequent blogging period. I am back!

You shouldn’t feel guilty about putting you career and personal life, that is far more important than a blog (for as much as we love it!) I am sending you my love, and are so very happy that you are having such a wonderful time at the moment x
