Today is my 25th Birthday and to celebrate reaching a quarter of a century, I have decided that this year I am going to be bold and brave in everything I do. I know I have only just turned 25 but the years seem to be flying by and I don’t want to look back on life when I’m 60, or 70… or even 30, and think “I wish I was bolder with my actions and braver with my choices”.  So to celebrate the year of 25 I’m going to be bolder, braver and squeeze every ounce of happiness out of life.

Seeing as my birthday falls close to the New Year, I always leave it until then to make my “New Years resolutions” because like each New Year, I see a birthday as a blank page, the chance to start over again and achieve something great.

At the top of my list for this year is to the best wife that I can be to my soon to be husband. We have exactly one month and one day till we say “i do” and I can’t explain just how magical it feels to know that I’ll be spending the rest of my life with my favourite person. I guess that in itself is a brave move. The laws of physics will tell you that it’s impossible to be 100% certain about something but I’m defying the laws of physics because I know that my heart will be his, forever.

Next up on my list is to participate in more races. Last year I did my first ever half marathon and now I’ve caught the racing bug. I’d race every weekend if I could and I have found the most wonderful group of girls to run with which makes race day all the more exciting. This year I’ve got the winter 10km in February to kick things off, followed by a 13.1 mile course in Berlin and after that I will see where the wind blows me. Last year I had a moment of madness and applied for the London Marathon and after running a half marathon I can officially say that 13.1 miles is more than long enough! Marathon racing isn’t for me.

Travel is always high on my priority list because I’m in absolute awe of the world we live in and the beauty that is yet to be discovered. After the Maldives in February, I have booked trips to Berlin, Valencia, Portugal and then I hope to spend October in the sunshine before heading to Portland Oregon to say goodbye to 2017.

Finally, but I guess most importantly, I am going to invest my time and energy into my blog and building my brand. Last year I wasn’t able to take my blog where I wanted to due to being time poor and I really missed it. I missed creating content on a regular basis so this year I am making it one of my top priority’s to make sure that my blog work comes before any other work because it’s what I enjoy doing the most.

Happy Birthday to me!

Just incase any of my friends are reading this, I’d like a red velvet cake on Saturday (a healthy-ish one!)
