Along with my Masters course friends, Sam and Anastasia, I have been shortlisted for the Guardian Student Broadcast Journalist of the year award 2014.

The three of us worked together on creating the documentary Joint Enterprise: Almost Guilty, which i filmed.

Joint Enterprise is a doctorate used in the court of law which allows several people to be charged with the same offence, even though they may have all played different roles in the crime.

Our case studies include, Jordan Cunliffe, a  legally blind boy who was several yards away from a murder that took place, Gerard Childs who got in to a fight but did not through the fatal punch and Ameen Jogee who was outside a house when a murder took place . These three men believe that they are innocent but they are currently behind bars, charged with murder under the joint enterprise law.

Here is our award nominated documentary! Sit back, grab some sweet and salt popcorn and enjoy! I would love to hear your feedback so please leave any questions or comments you may have below.
