I love to run. It lifts my mood and nothing can beat the post run feeling of accomplishment.
When I first started running, I really wanted to join a running club but I was embarrassed by my own running ability so I took to the streets, alone. Looking back, I wish that I had just swallowed my pride and joined a running club because we all have to start somewhere. I want to share my passion for running with you, through my running club with Sports Philosophy! It doesn’t matter if you are a frequent runner or someone who is just starting out, all athletic abilities are welcome to join the Tashi X Sports Philosophy running club. We run towards greatness and no one gets left behind.
Sunday 14th June saw the launch of the Tashi X Sports Philosophy running club, and I invited a few fitness bloggers to run with me around Hyde Park. The weather was the “typical English weather”that we are all too familiar with, but it was going to take more than a few drops of rain to stop us!
Hyde Park is one of my favourite running spots because it is full of hidden gems. It may be touristy, but you will be surprised to see what you can find in this central London park. Between kilometres three and four we discovered the most beautiful enchanted area, complete with ponds and stone pillars. It’s hard to believe that such a peaceful place exists just a few metres away from the bellowing streets of Central London… but it does!
After we had finished running and sprinting (yes..sprinting!), we stretched our tired legs and had a post run picnic. The lovely Sports Philosophy team provided us with Chia pots, fruit, smoothies, wraps and nuts…perfect post run fuel. Runners were also treated to a goody bag, which contained treats from Quest, Chia Co, Nakd, Sister & Co, Get Buzzing, Love Your Blender, and ProperCorn.
If you want to improve your running whilst having fun and making new friends as you explore London, come and join my running club! The next run will be on Saturday 27th June, 9:00 am Hyde Park. I would love you for to be there! We will meet at the Car park on Serpentine Lane. We will run around 5km and you can run at your own pace, but be sure to run alongside someone for motivation!
This is a running club and not the Olympics, so there is no competition! We are here to run together and empower each other with every step.
After we have finished running, we will return to our meeting point for a post run picnic where you can cool down, eat and get to know your co-runners!
If you would like to join us, please email: Tashi@tashiskervin.com to reserve your spot. Bring a friend or come on your own and make new friends! There will be a safe place to keep bags and coats, should you bring any.
