When I received an email from Nike asking me to take part in a photoshoot for the LDN Edit, I thought that I was going to vomit all over my desk because I was so nervous. But, after a few weeks of exchanging over excited Whatsapps and emails, Zanna, Aj, Natasha and I took to the streets of London to shoot the Run LDN Ladies London Edit.

I met Zanna last year and I became friends with AJ and Natasha after meeting them at a few Nike events. Together we are Run LDN Ladies and we are running in Nike’s London 10km race. We all have very different training and running styles. You all know how much I love the 5km, Natasha is a sprinter, AJ has so much energy… just name your distance and she will be there and Zanna isn’t someone who runs frequently, but we are united by our love for living life the healthy way and enjoying it!

The LDN Edit is a feature on Nike’s website and a newsletter showing our favourite looks from the latest Nike collection.

On the day of the shoot, a car arrived at my home at an hour that I didn’t even know existed on a Saturday Morning, and took me to Putney where I met Natasha, Zanna and the Nike team. A couple of minutes later AJ burst on to the scene in her usual bubbly self and I knew it was going to be an amazing day.

Our first shooting location was on Puntey Bridge and we spent a few hours here taking photos and smiling at runners who gave us a quizzical looks as they passed by. They probably just thought that we were four really vain girls, who hired a camera crew to get some good photos for Instagram!

Next up was East London and after we checked into our suite at the Ace Hotel, we had some important things to take care of…our stomachs! We went to Pizza East for lunch and oh did we eat! At first I was conscious of over indulging as I did not know if my second outfit would cover a food baby, but after receiving the green light that no crop tops would be involved, we tucked in.

The next few shots were all about being active. Zanna and I were doing side planks and tricep dips whilst AJ and Natasha ran. We finished the shoot in true Hollywood style by toasting our champagne glasses and saying “That’s a wrap!”

It was such a wonderful day, the team were incredible and it was a dream come true to shoot with Nike. But, now that the glitz and the glamour is over…it’s time to start training for the 10km race!

The race takes place on June 21st at Victoria Park, London. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done a 10km run before, this run is all about women coming together and helping each other work towards becoming fitter and stronger. It is going to be a such a fun day, sign up for the race here and I will see you at the finish line!

My goodness – You ladies look absolutely fab!
I’m so tempted by this Nike event as I’m a keen runner but it’s quite the trek for me, so we’ll see 🙂 x
