Today is the UK’s first ever national Peanut Butter day and in honour of this special day, I have created a recipe that is dedicated to the nations third favourite spread.

Today’s recipe is Tashi’s clean
chocolate peanut butter fudge….you’re welcome!

I created this recipe by using ingredients that I thought would work well together to achieve a fudge like consistency and more importantly, taste good.

Peanut Butter is an excellent source of good fat, but be sure to read the ingredients list before you pop a spoonful of it into your mouth, as there could be a few nasties hidden in your jar. Meridian, Whole Earth and The Peanut Butter & Co are all great nut butters and I made this batch of fudge using the Peanut Butter and Co’s Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter.

There are many benefits of eating peanut butter, it is full of good fat to help to keep your heart healthy and it can also help you to loose weight as it keeps you feeling fuller for longer.

Serving size: 10

-Two heaped spoons of Chocolate peanut butter-  The Peanut Butter & Co Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter contains only natural ingredients and it tastes magical. You can buy this nut butter online or at Harvey Nichols.

1 tablespoon of cacao powder- I would suggest using Matt Dawson’s Cacao Powder as it is high in protein which gives this recipe extra nutritional value.

1 Large banana-

Optional ingredient

1 scoop of chocolate whey protein.

-Mash your banana and mix all the ingredients together in a bowl for a few minutes.

-Once you have achieved a smooth texture, create fudge like shapes out of the mixture and place it in to a container

– Put your container in the freezer and leave it for 2-3 hours so that your fudge can set. ENJOY!

It’s best to keep the fudge stored in the freezer to prevent it from melting

Happy national peanut butter day!

Don’t know if I would class it as healthy as this isn’t something I would eat everyday but it’s definitely clean! More like a clean cheat 🙂
